Each Friday, the FrontPorch ShowCase will feature artists from our open mic project in our Apple iTunes Podcast.
This page provides information about podcasting in general, links to the show for those of you without iTunes, and details about the contents of each of our past episodes.

What is PodCasting? Podcasts are electronically distributed audio/video files similar to radio or television content and delivered directly to audio devices (MP3s, IPODS, etc) or Personal Computers via the Internet. The term 'Podcast' comes from the Apple iPod, one of the most popular devices for receiving this content. With Podcasts, users may 'subscribe' to shows such as the FrontPorch Showcase and as soon as elecronic episodes become available, they will automatically receive them. The FrontPorch ShowCase Podcast is a sampling of the artists that perform at our open mics produced as an electronic file and distribute through the Apple iTunes system as well as some other popular PodCasting services. |
