Summer Music Fun.

If you've never attended a FrontPorch Showcase open mic, there's no better time than the summer months to get out, relax, and enjoy some amazing music and fun.

The fourth Friday of each month, our open mic starts at 7:00pm and you never know who might show up to entertain the crowd. From first time appearances by local musicians to amazing flatpick guitar champions, mandolin champions, or award winning song writers, the Frontporch showcase is a great way to enjoy some great homegrown music.

The Open Mic is open to all types of music and we encourage people to come out and share their talents. Full bands are not currently accomodated except by special invitation because of time constraints that would not allow for drum-set breakdowns, etc. But if you would like to perform, please check this site for all of the upcoming dates or contact us.

The Front Porch open mic will be held the fourth Friday of every month. For more information, call (304)610-1017.

Blues Crossing
This 'dynamic duo' is sure a treat to watch live.

According to their own website they are "Just a 'lil acoustic blues duo from West Virginia... makin' it up as we go along. " but to anyone that's heard them, these two are amazing.

Mike Lyzenga and Ray Hensley are Blues Crossing. They formed their little duo in August of 2006 and Ray's wife, Debbie, dubbed them Blues Crossing. After that, the music took on a life of it's own and these two have amazed crowds all over the West Virginia, Kentucky, and Ohio music scene.

They've appeared a few times at our monthly open mic and, between Ray's sophisticated blues licks on the guitar and Mike's voice, they always steal the show.
